#FridayIntro

Hey friends, I know some of you are new here. And for those of you who’ve known me for decades, I have always thought it fun when friends share a little secret/story about their lives… so, I thought I would share a few here, too. ⁣

•When I was 5 years old, my family and I drove from Mississippi to Alaska. On the way, Mount St Helens erupted and spewed it’s angry ash for miles. I remember being told we were the last ones to pass over a bridge that was heavy with ash & debris. ⁣

•The summer after high school, one of many jobs was working in the German gift shop selling cuckoo clocks at Busch Gardens, in Williamsburg, VA. I had to wear this hideous green dirndl. The highlight was I got to meet Richard Dean Anderson of MacGyver fame. He was the kindest customer I had all season.⁣

•For a couple of years in college, I worked at Tower Records on the weekends. It was one of my favorite jobs— I got to dress how I wanted, wear my wigs & platform shoes, and talk music with total strangers. ⁣
One night at closing, my boss wrote & played me a song on his guitar, after bringing me a giant stalk of sugar cane because he knew I had a sweet tooth. (Umm, inappropriate work relationship). ⁣

Share something I don’t know about you!🖤⁣
